Rains to continue

The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) is forecasting more light to moderate rains with occasional lightning and strong wind gusts, mostly in the northeast, north and the Central Mountains. These will be caused by a frontal system that moved rapidly towards the east/southeast and is now located over western Haiti, increasing local cloud cover. Rains are expected to continue as the system moves across the country, but, fortunately, there will also be a slight dip in temperatures. Rains are expected in Santo Domingo and the National District.
