The head of the National Department of Drug Control (DNCD) called on all of the officers that hold command positions to submit their sworn statements of assets by next Monday. The head of the DNCD says officers who do not fulfill requirement will be discharged.
If they do not, "they will be excluded from the job", said Rolando Rosado Mateo, who indicated that "the declaration of assets should not be a traumatic experience".
The high-ranking officer ordered a team of lawyers and accountants that work at the DNCD to give assistance to the personnel of the institution in working out their sworn declarations of assets.
"We have given instructions so that each commanding officer in the DNCD, from the highest, including myself, to the most humble officer in charge of a branch office has to hand in the sworn declaration of assets", he said.
