Dominicans that have been taking out their overcoats from the closets for the past five days of cool temperatures can put them back. According to the information from the National Meteorological Office (ONAMET), temperatures will return to usual today, as the frontal system that caused the lows moves forward.
Temperatures had declined to as low as 13 C in San Juan de la Maguana, 18C in Monte Cristi, and 19C in Puerto Plata, Santiago, Samana. Santo Domingo residents had to cover up given the temperatures of 20C in the early morning.
Onamet has kept the small craft warnings in place for today, especially along the Atlantic Coast due to high winds and abnormal waves.
