Parlacen accepts Fernandez proposal

The Central American Parliament (Parlacen) voted to unanimously accept the proposal made by Dominican President Leonel Fernandez to tax deposits in tax havens and off-shore banks. The plan is to generate resources to fight poverty and aid development in poor countries. The initiative was included in a resolution presented by the Dominican representative in Parlacen, the former senator Sucre Antonio Munoz Acosta.
