Staying in Sosua but visiting an all inclusive

I am staying in Sosua for a few days...but i have a few friends staying at a resort in Puerto Plata..... would it be possible to go to the all inclusive and visit them and possibly get a few drinks where they are staying??...or would u hafto have a room in that resort??...would i have to buy a wrist band??

It really depends on the resort. Some have a "day pass" option, others not so much.

That said, I have a sneaky suspicion that after an evening in Puerto Plata, Sosua, and/or Cabarete, your friends are gonna want to come visit you. LOL:rofl::rofl::rofl:

I would say $50 maybe for a day pass.

Daypasses can't be more then $50 if it is from 11 am till 6 pm.

If they ask more then they will try to rip you off....

if the Dr is similar to cuba each hotel has a different price structure

the higher the star rating the more they charge........better food and better choices of alcohol etc. in feb we were transferred to a five star resort where they even had real canadian whisky. i might hang out there for a day next trip;).

the day pass option is great as you get to relax by the ocean,get to pig out at the lunch buffet, get to sit at the pool bar,get to see the hot...or not so hot ai guests and did i say you get to eat and drink ALL you want from 10am thru 6pm;)

i try to do one day each week there.....it breaks up the trip and also gets some better quality food....especially when in cuba:D


in cuba the day passes are
3 star 20 ( club amigo)
4 star 25 ( breezes )
5 star 50 ( lots ot them)

i did a three day trip in 2006 to playa dorado solo as it was a last minute deal and cheaper than flight only but i wasn't allowed to sign in a guest as i booked solo:eek:so his chances are very slim

i ended up using the resort as a place to relax after visiting sosua etc.;)

Someday an all inclusive in Playa Dorada will pull their head out of their ass and remove the prison fence.lot better looking ones there than Sosua problem is its like prison cant have visitors or friends over what is the point.

"Sorry" I can't agree with hanging out in Playa Dorada! The food is bad at the buffets and the shows stink. If you want to go in for a casino or a disco you can when ever you want.

Why!!! That is unless you want a fat white chick who can't even interest a sankie who works in the hotels in the Playa Dorada complex.

They (Playa Dorada) will never change their marketing nor should they. For every monger there are 500 regular folks and some with kids who don't want to see a 50-60 year old white guy with a 20 year old black "granddaughter" on their arm.

Couldn't care less about eating Billy.The beach in Playa Dorada the times I was there had alot more Hot looking Dominican chics than Sosua same goes for at night .[Other than Sunday at beach]than Sosua.Still comes down to same problem no good place to stay in Puerto Plata.

Is why I spent no time in Sosua or Puerto Plata last trip headed South.
