Santiago, Dominican Republic.- A 4.9 magnitude tremor shook Dominican Republic’s Northwest at 10:53 p.m. Sunday and the Emergency Operations Center (COE) confirmed that there were no injuries or damages reported.
The quake was felt in Santiago, the towns Esperanza, Valverde, Navarrete and Puerto Plata, whose epicenter was located in 19.705 North Latitude and 70.975 West Longitude.
Just hours before the quake on the Dominican side of the border another tremor killed two people in Haiti on Sunday, when a 4 floor apartment building collapsed in that country’s second largest city Cape Haitien, the United Nations office there said.
