In another story in today's papers concerning Dominican port facilities, Diario Libre reports that the United States National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) will be installing the equipment needed to detect any radioactive materials moving into Dominican ports. The agreement was signed between Dominican and US authorities on 7 July as part of an initiative to halt radioactive or nuclear contraband. The overall program covers 44 ports around the world and surveys 75% of the shipping that enters the United States.
