A luxurious villa in Casa de Campo and a million dollar yacht belonging to Spaniard Arturo del Tiempo Marquez were seized in La Romana by the National District prosecutor yesterday. Del Tiempo is suspect of money laundering and criminal association. He was arrested in Spain, and is being held as the key person in a cocaine-smuggling case.
An apartment belonging to his son, Arturo del Tiempo Manzarbeitia, was also seized in the tourist area of Samana.
Earlier, the government confiscated the 21-floor luxury high rise, Atiemar. Apartments there are valued over US$1.2 million each.
