US$1 billion in more sovereign bonds

The Executive Branch has instructed the Ministry of Hacienda to place US$1 billion in sovereign bonds. The President signed the bill yesterday. The funds would be used to finance road infrastructure, and can also be allotted to health, education and environmental projects. The Presidency explains that the funds cannot be used for current expenses.
