He had a tough time finding a spot, but finally yesterday the PRD announced that the radio and TV presenter has been registered as deputy for the second circumscription in the National District, replacing Rosario Altagracia Lopez Jimenez. The JCE had rejected his running for deputy in the first circumscription on the grounds that Juan Vasquez had won that position in a party primary. Gomez Casasnovas is a former PRSC politician. His father, Victor Gomez Berges, served as Foreign Minister during the Balaguer administration.
