The Prosecutor for the National Audience of Spain (the Spanish Supreme Court), Javier Zaragoza confirmed that he has met with his Dominican counterpart, Radhames Jimenez Pena to exchange information on the case of Arturo del Tiempo Marques, the Spaniard currently in jail in Spain on charges of smuggling 1,200 kilograms of cocaine from the DR. Zaragoza said that he was confident that the Dominican judicial authorities would do everything within their power to take the investigation to the limit.
During his visit to the DR, the Spanish prosecutor will address the Commission for the Reform and Modernization of Justice on the issues of organized crime, drug trafficking and other criminal activity.
