Luis Midence, contributing editor at dr1.com, was honored as a new member of the Sports Hall of Fame at the PUCMM University in Santiago on Sunday. Midence, himself a champion judo athlete and avid golfer, was recognized for his efforts to promote sports. Others winning the award at the fifth inducting ceremony of the Sports Hall of Fame were Dario Rodriguez and Rafael Tejada (Panchon). During the event, athletes Raymundo Fermin, Carmen Rosa Morales and Dario Hidalgo were named sports immortals. During the event, Jose Leon Asensio was honored. The jurors permanent committee is presided by Guillermo Jose Saleta.
