Hi there. I have a question about taxi fares. Most taxis tell me that it costs $30 from the airport in Santo Domingo to the Intercontinenal Hotel.

Is this true? I find this quite expensive.

Most tourist taxis are rip offs. There will be posted signs at the airport so all of them are the same price.

How long is the ride... THe taxi fare from POP-Sosua is 10-15 minutes and they charge $15-20 bucks... They are all overpriced at the airport

The ride as I remember was about 30 minutes to the Jarragua.

SDQ to Boca Chica is 18-20. And I think Boca is closer than SD.

I paid about US$ 20 for the trip last time.. just laugh.. walk away a few times.. and they will come to you.. they need the money more than you need the ride..

I was in the Marines my self and I did my time served my country been there done that!!!!!, I have seen things in my short life time then some people would an entire life time and Im sure you have been through alot just like me. well you can try a cab, but they can charge you a lot...you can do the Caribe bus which is very cheap, but they don't go all the way to the palace and you would have to get a cab the rest of the way, but it's still cheap
