The Chamber of Deputies has declared Monsignor Agripino Nunez Collado an "Ambassador of Reconciliation" and approved a series of pensions that ranged from RD$7,000 to RD$35,000 per month. A former Senate employee, Dulce Maria Perez Gomez was awarded a RD$35,000 monthly pension for her service to the Senate, and Hector Rodriguez Ortiz, who served a total of three days, was granted a pension because his party leaders sacrificed his electoral victory for some political favors. Departing senators and deputies are voting for themselves pensions equivalent to 85% of their generous wages.
