Two young boys said to be "playing around", made the hoax bomb threat that led to the evacuation of the Cibao International Airport last week. The two, aged 14 and 17, have been taken to the Juvenile Court in La Vega.
The police revealed that an investigation by the Dominican authorities found that the call was made by the two youths in La Vega, about 15 kilometers from the airport. The official said that they made the call from a cell phone, and the call was received at the company's call center in the United States. They immediately alerted the authorities at the Cibao International Airport (STI). According to the National Police, the whole thing was just a "joke".
