The Weather Department is forecasting that much-needed rains are expected next week, at least in the northeast, southeast and central part of the island. The forecast is for rains from Monday through Thursday. However, these will not be enough for the ONAMET to call an end to the current prolonged drought. The first rains were felt in the east at dawn on Saturday.
