Centro Franklin, the cultural division of the US Embassy, is proud to present in the DR, the Rhythm Road: American Music Abroad program, featuring bluegrass music group, "The Student Loan" from 14-20 April. The group, described as bringing a fresh voice to the world of American folk music, will be playing at Casa de Teatro on Thursday, 14 April at 8pm, and on Monday, 19 April at 8pm at the Cinemateca Nacional. On Tuesday, the group will be at the Biblioteca Pedro Mir at the state university UASD for a master class/jam at 10:30am. The group will also perform on Saturday, 16 April at 7pm at the Doulos Discovery Center in Jarabacoa, and on Sunday, 17 April at 8pm at the Gran Teatro Regional del Cibao in Santiago.
