[DR1] Organizations favor constituting assembly

Approximately 400 organizations represented in the Citizen's Forum are supporting the convention of a Constituting Assembly for the reform of the nation's constitution and not a popular consultation as proposed by the Executive Branch. The Forum issued a declaration stating it would defend its position as one that fosters the active and direct participation of the public. However, the Forum believes the reform is not a priority at this moment and other issues, such as social and citizen security should be addressed first.
