[DR1] Commission to look after sale of Shell

Last night, Finance Minister Vicente Bengoa Albizu announced the creation of a commission which will study aspects of the sale of Sehll's 50% share participation in the Dominican Petroleum Refinery (REFIDOMSA). Diario Libre reports the commission is composed by Executive Branch Legal Consultant, Cesar Pina Toribio, Industry and Commerce Minister Francisco Javier Garcia, and will be presided by Bengoa, who explained that the sale of Shell's participation in the refinery must be done jointly with the government and that is the reason why the commission was formed. He said they are now trying to determine the value of the company's assets which has not been concluded. The state purchase of Shell's participation has not been discussed with President Fernandez. The sale process could take as long as one year.
