Yesterday, President Leonel Fernandez met with the Police Superintendent of Puerto Rico, Pedro Toledo, and asked for specialized technicians in the use of a technology that would allow the identification of areas in the country where crimes occur with greater frequency. The initiative seeks to improve the assignment of human and logistical resources in the fight against crime. Toledo explained there is a collaboration plan between the Dominican government, the United States Embassy, and the Puerto Rico Police Department to train Dominican police agents. Dominican Police Chief Bernardo Santana Paez accompanied Toledo who explained that the academy for training in criminal investigation has been put at the disposal of the Police Department.
