US Consulate requires new form

The Consular Section of the United States Embassy in Santo Domingo has announced that it will be using a new, on-line form for non-resident visa applications. Beginning next Monday 19 April, all non-immigrant visa applicants will have to fill out the new form, DS-160, which is available on the consulate's website. The new form seeks to create more efficient and more precise handling of the visa process. This single form replaces three old forms, while providing the applicant with more privacy since only the applicant and the consular officers will have access to the document. Officials at the Consulate advise applicants to read the form carefully since after 19 April it is the only form that will be accepted by the consular officers.
