The Dominican Baseball League has announced some changes for this baseball season that started in October. There are changes in the calendar, to make room for the celebration of two games of seven innings each in the case of suspended games. A discipline and ethics committee has been created, and the penalty for infractions has been increased from RD$2,500 to RD$50,000.
Chilote Llenas, president of the Aguilas team told El Caribe: "One has to adapt to the new times. Each year is different. All the measures are good and will add to the development of the tournament," he said.
