Police investigators have detained three men for questioning in connection with the early morning robbery at the Nacional Supermarket on Nunez de Caceres Avenue in Santo Domingo last month. The Police are looking for Evangelista Fortuna Cabrera (Luichi), who is suspected of being one of the people who actually carried out the robbery.
The Police have found 15 cell phones worth RD$62,000 that were stolen from Top Movil, one of the stores inside the building. The discovery came after one of the men now under arrest attempted to exchange a chip. The Police are questioning Oscar Luis Barrios Beltre, Vladimir Espinosa Matos and Carlos Reyes Cuevas, found in possession of the stolen cell phones.
