"A Song of Hope for Haiti" (Un Canto de Esperanza por Haiti) will be a rare opportunity to watch Maridalia Hernandez, one of the original vocalists in Juan Luis Guerra's 4/40 group singing the old classics. International Latin pop stars Miguel Bose, Luis Fonsi, Juanes, Alejandro Sanz and Enrique Iglesias will also be onstage. From the Dominican Republic, event organizer Juan Luis Guerra, Milly Quezada and Johnny Ventura will be performing, all for a great cause.
The concert, a benefit for the Fundacion Juan Luis Guerra and Sur Futuro - a Dominican NGO that works on the border with Haiti, is sponsored by telecommunications company Orange. The concert starts at 8pm on Sunday, 18 April 2010 at the Felix Sanchez Olympic Stadium in the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center.
Tickets for the concert are on sale at Orange express points, uepa tickets, Jumbo, Nacional and Ferreteria Cuesta stores, and from Solotickets. Tickets are also for sale at Sur Futuro Foundation, Tel 809 547-2816 and 809 472-0611.Tel 809 565-0300.
Tickets cost RD$1,000 for the stands and RD$2,000 ground floor. Orange clients receive a 25% discount.
