The legendary Mexican mariachi group Vargas de Tecalitlan will play at the opening artistic show for the Thursday, 22 April show at the National Theater's main hall. Their performance is one in a series of guest artists coming for this year's Santo Domingo International Book Fair that is dedicated to Mexico. Mexico is bringing some 20 authors, and dozens of other artists, including playwrights, clowns, dancers and electronic musicians.
