News commentators are blaming the marked deficiencies in the Police and judiciary for a man known to have killed at least 17 people still being out on the streets. Yesterday, a Police patrol killed the suspect. Among those he is suspected of murdering are 3 policemen, according to the Police.
Pavel Ricardo Castellanos Batista (Nono) was shot in a clash with the police when they attempted to arrest him on the San Isidro Highway. He died on the way to the hospital. In his possession was a Taurus gun, a box of ammunition, and a tool to steal vehicles. The clash with police occurred at 7:40am. Castellano Batista, who was the subject of several arrest warrants, attacked the policemen when they tried to arrest him.
