Haiti-DR business forum

The National Business Council (CONEP), the Santo Domingo Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Haiti are organizing the first business and investment conference with a focus on reconstruction efforts in Haiti. The forum will concentrate on sectors that can generate a large number of jobs. Business representatives are coming from Europe, the US, Canada and Taiwan to attend the event. Barriers to trade between Haiti and the DR will be discussed. The event is scheduled for 26 April at the Santo Domingo Hilton Hotel. It is sponsored by several entities, including the European Union and the DR Center for Exports and Investment (CEI-RD).
