After Bolivian President Evo Morales said that hormones in chicken production caused homosexuality, the Dominican media picked up on the story in talk shows this morning. The story made headlines in the local press when Jose Lopez, spokesman for the Association of Chicken Farms in the North (Asopollon) told Spanish news agency EFE that the statements sought to damage international poultry production. "I think those statements by Evo Morales are madness, because he also says Europeans are bald because they eat genetically produced products, and the Indians have lots of hair because they don't eat any of that," he commented.
