Presidente Beer is building on the following Dominicans developed for the Latin American Idol reality show. Dominicans sent paid mini-messages to the tune of RD$90 million so Dominican Martha Heredia could win. Now the Festival Presidente of Latin Music 2010 wants to give a Dominican on the home ground the opportunity of becoming the "star of the festival." The Presidente Festival is scheduled for 27, 28 and 29 August.
Presidente is making available 1-809 200-0200 for Dominicans who want to take part. By calling that number, aspiring stars have 60 seconds to sing. The organizers will chose 12 contestants who will be taken to a TV show. A jury, made up of Adalgisa Pantaleon, Manuel Tejada, Carolina Hernandez, Roy Tabare and others will assess the participants and choose the winner.
Presidente hopes to warm up Dominican audiences as the days for the festival approach.
