A rainstorm in Miami yesterday affected flights from the DR to Miami. Yolanda Manan, spokesperson for the Las Americas and Puerto Plata international airports says that the storm affected one Puerto Plata flight and a Santo Domingo flight that were cancelled. Five others were delayed. She said that American Airlines, nevertheless, was able to reroute most Miami passengers through San Juan.
Monday's turbulent weather caused dozens of flight delays out of Florida airports. Some 85 flights were cancelled and as of late afternoon 90 delays were announced for Miami International.
