Dominican exports to the rest of the Caribbean grew from US$35 million in 2006 to US$135 million in 2008, and this means that today's numbers are a lot higher. This information demonstrates that the Dominican Republic can make the most of markets such as Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago who received 58% of our exports. The data was revealed in a seminar "Market Opportunities for Trinidad and Tobago and Caricom TLC: TLC with Caricom and EPA". The activity sought to improve relations between the two countries and help local exporters to take better advantage of the commercial agreements that are in place. In 2008, Jamaica received 47% of Dominican exports and T&T receives 12%. The seminar also served to launch information on the 2010 Trade Fair in Trinidad and Tobago on 19 May.
