The Spanish Attorney General estimates that Arturo del Tiempo Marques, who was not known to have any business ventures in this country, "exported" at least two containers of "marble" to Spain each month. It is believed that the owner of the Atiemar Tower disguised shipments of cocaine and other controlled substances in these shipments, reports Diario Libre. The Spanish authorities are convinced that the container in which 935 kilograms of cocaine were seized on 5 November in the Multi-Modal Port of Caucedo belonged to Del Tiempo.
The man accused of sending the 1,200kgs of cocaine that were seized on 2 March in Spain is currently in prison in Barcelona, where he was sent by a judge together with his presumed accomplice Arturo Nunez Sebria.
It is suspected that he had been sending at least two containers a month for more than two years with shipments of drugs, disguised as exports of marble for use in construction projects.
The investigations indicate that the contact for bringing the drugs into Spain was a Colombian, German Duque Garcia, who is in jail in Najayo. The Spanish authorities are investigating a total of five individuals. One is currently out on bail in Barcelona. The Atiemar Tower, built by Del Tiempo is under judicial custody, as is a vacant lot where another tower was to have been built, and a yacht.
