The first few days of the week will see rains over a large part of the national territory as a result of a marked flow of winds from the east, according to the Weather Department (Onamet). Humidity, especially during the day, and the rains will combine to produce moderate to heavy showers. The rainfall will be accompanied by isolated thunder over the northeast, the east, the Cibao Valley and the central and eastern mountains.
The meteorological report says that for today the rains will be weak during the morning, with a tendency to increase in the afternoon closer to the mountains in the east and the central part of the country. For tomorrow, Tuesday, there will be showers in the afternoon and the early hours of the evening. Yesterday there were rains over much of the country, while the heat wave continues to be felt, requiring people to drink a lot of liquids and to use light clothing.
