Around a million people will be vaccinated against the A H1N1 flu next June, according to Public Health Minister Bautista Rojas Gomez. The campaign will begin with the people at highest risk - pregnant women and children - as well as health workers and military personnel. Rojas Gomez said that the initiative, which is being supported by the Pan American Health Organization, would serve as a preventive measure for the start of the flu season in the fall.
He said that this latest campaign is part of the overall program of immunizations that will be given to four million people. Included in the immunizations are children who receive vaccinations against mumps, whooping cough, German measles and polio.
