What about finding a decent place to find/buy clothes while I'm there in 26 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go to Santiago, tons of shops. Santo Domingo, even better.
but clothes that are imported ypu will be paying more thne you pay in the US most of the time... I think its best to bring your clothes... When i went to the mall in SDQ everything was more money...It's funny. The Free Zones biggest industry is clothes. They make them there cheap, send them to the US, they get sent back to the DR, and become expensive...
Get yourself tailormade clothes.. dirt cheap

Get yourself tailormade clothes.. dirt cheapAny product that is labor-intensive (tailor made clothes) is cheap; anything resource-intensive (electronics, appliances, cars) is expensive.
I might have to check out your tailor, Mike. Name? Digits? Directions?

What sort of prices are we talking for a tailor made suit?
Also I can go to Calle del Sol and find a cloth store? or a place that makes clothes?

Around Calle del Sol (one of the main streets) you can find any number of good clothing shops.. if it's a gentlemans store they will also have uncut cloth.. you go and have a look at the cloth.. if you see one you like you start negotiating.. I got two suits for me and my buddy for RD$ 2,800 for the cloth and RD$ 5,000 for the tailor.. it took some negotiations though.. from what I heard from Dominicans this seems to be the normal price.. remember the cloth price will depend upon the cloth..
