President Leonel Fernandez and President Hugo Chavez have signed an agreement at the Presidential Palace, making the way for Dominicans to watch Television del Sur (Telesur), the Venezuelan government television station.
Foreign Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso and his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro signed a cooperation agreement for combatting drug trafficking and drug consumption. The ministers of Industry & Commerce, Jose Ramon Fadul for the DR and Richard Canaan for Venezuela signed an agreement for strengthening trade between both countries.
