The Denver Post reports that Dominican cooking has lots to do with Colorado Rockies ace pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez's success. The newspaper gives its readers a taster of many of the recipes that Jimenez's mom prepares for him with all her love. The newspaper reports that Ramona Garcia moves to the US to be with her son during the baseball season.
"I like rice, beans, any kind of meat, chicken. But my favorite kind of meat, they don't have it here - chivo (goat) - that's her best," Jimenez told the Denver Post. He shared her recipes for Fish with Fresh Tomato Sauce, Papaya Smoothie and Vegetable Salad with readers.
