You're making me feel better about mine ...$544. Leave SFO at Midnight to Miami, arrive 8 am. Then leave MIA at noon and get into POP after 3 pm. Really envy the Florida guys.

Those are pretty good prices, considering where you're flying from. Oh!! I see it takes a day each way. Never mind...

yes we have it pretty easy.......1 or 2 hour layover in Miami or Ft Lauderdale.....
leave Tampa, FL in the morning and arrive in POP by 2PM or arrive by 3PM in Montego Bay.......

That "Coming" flight looks pretty messed up.

AA has a flight to Miami through LAX at 11:15pm - If you backtrack to LAX and then take the AA 11:50 flight to POP you would shave probably 6 hours off the front end (assuming there is an evening flight from Tuscon to LAX) then you could continue with AA on the 11:50am flight to POP and arrive 45 minutes sooner..

I was able to do this and get my flight down to 15 hours from over 24 hours originally for $750.00 total.

You easterners do not know how good you have it. This trip it is Calgary to Housten,, Housten to Newark (7 hour layover, not long enough to get a room, too long for the shitty seats in Newark) Then on to POP.

Then 26 days later I do it all in reverse except that I have 12 hours in Newark so have a room booked.

All this for $700 to $1000, I did pay for 1st class for the leg from Newark to POP and I lucked out as the Ist class cabin was so new even the crew were taking photos of the set-up. The seat converted into a bed and had a large TV with remote control.

Just think about all the miles you'll be accruing. Feel better already? :)

There are way better options out of Calgary. Try WJ Calgary - Toronto - POP or Air Transat Calgary direct to POP.

They only fly to POP in the winter, always use Westjet when I can. They do still fly to PUJ but not very convenient for Sosua

What ever you want to do. And the mountains are just over an hour away. No PST.

Dude, I have been on that flight too. Always leaving SF for a red eye to ATL or MIA depending on Delta or AA. It sucks for me because I can't sleep on planes. Living in Sacramento, I have to leave several hours before that flight leaves. Usually been awake for 30 hours when I check in to my hotel in Sosua. I'm shit for having a girl my first night. I just start drinking, get buzzed and get a solid night's sleep. The next day, let the games begin.

To the OP - could you drive to Phoenix and start out from there? Would the cost for gas and to park outweigh any time advantage you may save, if there is any, from traveling in and out of Sky Harbor?
