Central Electoral Board (JCE) Administrative Chamber president Roberto Rosario says that new winds are blowing at the JCE. He called on the leadership of the political parties to live up to the new electoral system installed by the JCE. He said that some political sectors suffer from a lack of imagination when they claim that election fraud can be committed by buying voter registration cards (known as "cedulas"). He said "anyone who is buying these cedulas is doing a dumb business, because we will be issuing new replacements until 14 May at midnight". He said that the Administrative Chamber has guaranteed that nobody can distort the popular will in the coming elections. He called on voters who can get some "change" from anyone wanting to buy their "cedulas" to then go and get a duplicate that will be given out for free so that they can exercise their right to vote for the candidate of their choice.
