The Central Electoral Board (JCE) warns that it will not permit exit polls in the 16 May 2010 election, although they have been held in the past.
JCE Administrative Chamber head Roberto Rosario called on the political parties that are not happy with the results to refrain from causing disturbances at the polling stations. He pointed out that any party that is not in agreement with the election results can make its position known at the local election board. If the party does not make the objections known at the local level, according to the Election Law, it will not have any right to submit challenges or complaints until the process is over.
