The Center for Exports and Investments, CEI-RD reports that farm exports are up 26.5% in the first three months of the year. Exports increased from US$51 million from January to March 2009 to US$64.6 million for the same period in 2010, as reported in Hoy. The CEI-RD says that total exports went from US$1.021 million for the period in 2009 to US$1.122 million for 2010, up 9.8%. Traditional products exports increased from US$62.8 million to US$87 million, up 38.47%. Mineral exports for the period went from US$12.7 million to US$15.5 million for a 21.8% increase. In the case of non-traditional products, the increase was 7.8%, with these increasing to US$1.019.4 million, up from US$945.4 million in 2009.
