The Third Penal Chamber of the National District Appeals Court has ordered the arrest of four people implicated in the case of the murder of seven Colombians in a drug-related massacre in Paya, Bani on 4 August 2008. The four are to stand trial on charges related to the case. They had previously been dismissed along with another five in the much-ballyhooed case.
The four are former navy captain Jose Sanchez Pina and Nicaraguan Orin Clinton Gomez Halford, who despite having been absolved is still in jail, and Augusto Alberto Daneris Andujar and Girson Antonio Gonzalez Marinez.
One of the men, Gonzalez Marinez was immediately detained at his house in Bani and the Police are actively looking for the former naval officer and Daneris.
The trial for the group that now numbers 22 is due to begin on 13 May.
