Juan Hernandez in Boston

Tax Department (DGII) director Juan Hernandez is in Boston, seeing doctors for a heart problem. As reported in Diario Libre, his doctors recommended he take a leave of absence from his work for two or three months while receiving treatment. The newspaper reports he has been in the US for a month, receiving ambulatory treatment. Nevertheless, the newspaper says he has continued to work from Boston on office matters. In his absence, Germania Montas, deputy director, is in charge.
