Talks for the construction of a 600-megawatt electricity plant in the northwest are on hold after the United Arab Emirates capital company turned down the offer. Clave newspaper reports that the UAE company requires the Public Electricity Corporation (CDEEE) to fund a previous EUR4 million feasibility study prior to agreeing to make the US$1.2 billion investment in the generator.
