Plastic surgeon Edgar Contreras has admitted to having operated on the nose of Puerto Rican drug baron Jose David Figueroa Agosto some eight years ago. Edgar Contreras underwent questioning on the Figueroa Agosto case at the District Prosecutor office yesterday.
The doctor said that Figueroa Agosto had introduced himself as Cristian Almonte.
As reported in Listin Diario, Contreras confirmed to the prosecutors that Figueroa Agosto and his wife Leavy (Nin Batista), who is also a fugitive, had been his patients.
Contreras has been sued for botched plastic surgery on several occasions, but has received lenient sentences from the courts.
