Yesterday I took the "Tropical Sun Jeep Safari" tour to the Damajagua waterfalls and had a great time. The guide from the tour company was entertaining and the guides at the waterfalls were extremely helpful. The tour cost $42 (Mel Tours). You need to wear shorts or swimwear and "shoes to get wet" or sandals, but no open backed ones. They need to be secured to your feet. If you forget, you can rent ones there for 50 pesos but their shoes were in pretty sad shape. The helmets and life jackets are provided and were much newer than the shoes.
The waterfalls are the last stop on the tour. Before you get there they take you to a cock-fighting demonstration; see coffee and chocolate being turned from plant to beverage; sample Mama Juanna; see soapstone carvers working and have a buffet style lunch.
