A commission from the general directorate of Student Welfare at the Ministry of Education is investigating yet another case of mass food poisoning allegedly caused by the school breakfast. More than a dozen students were reportedly affected in the El Puente primary school in Chacuey Abajo in Cotui, and were taken to the Immaculate Conception Hospital when they showed signs of poisoning after drinking the juice provided with the school breakfast. All the children were treated and released after suffering dizziness, vomiting and diarrhea.
The Ministry reported it would suspend the delivery of the beverage and carry out investigations.
