Peravia senator Wilton Guerrero says that the La Francesa murder is proof that the Figueroa Agosto network is still operating with total impunity despite the Drug Control Department (DNCD) head's claims that it had been annihilated, as reported in Hoy. "The country is being led down a very dangerous path by the drug traffickers," he said.
"The fearless and very daring actions of this network, murdering with impunity everyone they feel like under the noses of the authorities of the National Drug Control Department, the Police and the National Department of Investigations and all the state's investigations bodies indicate that the network is operating with the complicity of people inside these institutions," he told Hoy.
