Hello folks... I hope to get some useful info from this forum in preparation for future trips to the DR and other caribean destinations, as well as share some of my own experiences.

Yes... my only trip to DR so far has been to Black Beards and all these ladies were there at the time. Next trip I might trip FOD, or maybe stay in a Hotel and try the freelancers in Sosua.

You can stay at Field of Dreams and try the freelancers in Sosúa. That is what I did in various trips totalling 25 weeks before I moved to the DR permanently. There is not the same choice of resident chicas at FoD that there is at Barba Negra but FoD has the advantage that it is cheap and easy to get to Sosúa and takes only half the time (20 minutes). Also it is more normal to take in outside chicas whereas at Barba Negra eyebrows are raised.

FoD are confusing the hell out of us at present by keep changing their business plan in an effort to become profitable, but the last I heard there was a special offer to ISOC members of $40 per night which represents good value for those wanting a slightly more relaxed (gentlemanly?) holiday.

But if you want to be in the thick of the action 24/7 then nothing beats staying in Sosúa.

I have been thinking that I should do a PI report... I actually had a whole report typed up in a word document after my first trip in 2009, but I can't find the damn thing. My later trips were better though and will make for more interesting reading if I can remember enough.

Absolutely... It will be sort of like a regular contribution to the board, spread out over however much time it takes me to type it up.

I can already see that some of you guys write truely awsome reports, exciting to read... mine, not so much... partly because I am not a great story teller, and partly because I am more laid back and not so off-the-hook and fun as some here... still, I imagine I have some info that will be useful to some members and I am happy to share it.
