Car speed racing fans will be able to watch a Formula One competitor speeding along the Malecon on Sunday, 23 May. The Red Bull blue and red car can reach speeds of 300 kms/hour and noise levels of up to 150 decibels, louder than a plane during takeoff. Coming for the demonstration is Spaniard Jaime Alguersuari, who competes in the Formula One competition. The Red Bull Racing team finished second in last year's Formula One Championship. There will be Drift, Porsche, Ferrari and Go Kart exhibitions starting at 2pm. Admission is free at the stands built along the 1.5 km track from Maximo Gomez to Calle Presidente Vicini Burgos, but there will be VIP areas that cost RD$2,500 and tickets are for sale at Uepa Tickets Movie Max, south of Supermercado La Cadena on Abraham Lincoln.
